Newham Additional Provision
The NAP Programme offers a wide range of courses
that are unavailable in most schools. These
courses are very different from other subjects
you may study in Year 10. They involve a much
more practical or ‘hands-on’ style of learning and
are based either at one of the colleges, or with a
professional training organisation. There are clear
routes to employment, education and training
opportunities after Year 11.
If you choose a course like this, you will be out of
school one day a week and will have to take charge
of your own learning. You may have heard friends
talk about LetsBuild, Pitstop, APE Media or courses
at NCFE and NewVIc. They can offer you any of the
options on these pages – and more!
To find out more details about the courses and to
get application forms, see your options guidance
booklet or Year 9 tutor in school.
