NewVIc College was rated as 'outstanding' in its latest Ofsted inspection. NewVic offers more A level subjects in any college in the area and in 2006 100% pass rates were acheived in Economics, English Language, Media Studies, Financial Services, Dance, Further Maths, Music Technology and others. In advanced vocational subjects, 99% of students passed their course.

New VIc looking to the future... - info for YR 9 Students
It may seem a long way off, but if you are thinking of going to college at sixteen, the decisions you make in Year 9 will be crucial. Your choices and your GCSE results will affect the pathway you will be able to follow in the coming years. For example, if you want to be a doctor one day, you will need to start preparing now. In order to study medicine at university, you will need good grades in biology and chemistry at A-level. But to study chemistry or biology at A-level you will need to work hard to get five grade C’s or
above at GCSE, including maths and science.
